Adding the “trump card” Sun World Ha Nam, tourism in the southern province of Hanoi flourishes during the holidays

During the 5-day holiday, many roads leading to Ha Nam such as the Phap Van - Cau Gie expressway, National Highway 1A, Phu Ly bypass... were often bustling with vehicles, mainly independent tourists from Hanoi, Nam Dinh, Hung Yen and neighboring provinces.

At prominent tourist destinations such as Tam Chuc Eco-tourism Area, Ba Hang Lake, Ba Danh Pagoda, Tran Thuong Temple..., the number of visitors increased sharply on the peak days of April 30 and May 1. Hotels and homestays around Kim Bang and Phu Ly areas reached high occupancy rates, especially for short-stay groups and spiritual-experiential tour groups.

Tourism boom thanks to the attraction of new entertainment spots

Besides traditional destinations, this year Ha Nam has created attraction thanks to new tourism products, notably the Sun World Ha Nam water park, which opened to visitors on April 30.

Located in Sun Urban City (Phu Ly City), Sun World Ha Nam attracted tens of thousands of visitors in just a few days of operation. Visitors are excited about the modern water games complex, especially the more than 228m long parallel racing slide - the first of its kind in Southeast Asia. The space is designed with a water puppet theme, combining traditional culture and modern entertainment technology, creating a unique experience.

Ms. Ngoc Minh (a tourist from Nam Dinh) shared: “The park's architecture is very Vietnamese, the games are modern, both children and adults love it”.

Besides that, familiar spiritual tourist destinations such as Ba Danh Pagoda, Tran Thuong Temple, Lanh Giang Temple, Long Doi Son Pagoda... also recorded a sharp increase in visitors during peak days. The festive atmosphere was bustling with processions, incense offerings, and folk art performances organized on a large scale and professionally.

Mr. Tran Van Dung (Hanoi) commented: “Traveling to Ha Nam is now very convenient, not too crowded, reasonable prices, and friendly staff. I think this is an ideal destination for families on holidays or weekends”.

With the emergence of large-scale entertainment complexes, increasingly convenient transportation connections, and a festive atmosphere typical of Northern Vietnam, Ha Nam is emerging as an attractive destination south of Hanoi. The explosion of tourists during the recent April 30 - May 1 holiday shows that Ha Nam tourism is heading in the right direction by adding professional and high-class tourism products.
